English department organizes a Subject Association Activity on every Friday as a part of extra curricular activity.  We have two coordinator from our class Abhinand and Parvathy.  They organizes brief meeting among us and collect different ideas from fellow mates.  The ideas are them sorted and listed out.  We began our Subject Association Activity by  organizing a CLASS LIBRARY wherein every student should contribute one or more than one book accordingly.  Our class library is divided into sections with respect to the genre and language of the book.  This activity aims in inculcating reading habit among students and to foster their love for books.  

Today was the last day of our 5 days School Induction Program.  We started our day with the prayer song by school choir. The first hour we observed the GOTEC class conducted by an external named Shaheera.  She took the whole session in English.  Second hour we went to lX B for class observation.  The class was interesting.  The teacher started the chapter Tolstoy Farm by Mahatma Gandhi.  Before textual lessons she first introduced many things.  She used blackboard, picked example from movies, made children think themselves and explain to others etc.  The teacher was very humourous so the children were attentive.  That was a good experience for us.  After that we took photographs with the principal.  Afternoon we served meals for the children.  Evening we distributed sweet to the staff of the school as a token of love.  They were very supportive and encouraging.  The principal Shiju Mam's involvement was crucial in thi...

We reached the school at 9 15 am.  The classes started at sharp 9 30 am.  The principal assigned us some classes to engage.  We divided into teams and went to different classes.   I along with Shilpa went to lX B.  It was English period for them.  This we gave them a task to summarise one of the chapters in their English text.  After that we made them read louder the same lesson.  We selected students randomly so that everyone would sit attentively .  After that went to observe the science lab.  Afternoon we served the meals to children.  The next two hours was the GOTEC session in the multimedia lab for selected students.  Since the English teacher was on leave we were asked to handle the session.  First we gave them an introduction about what GOTEC is, it's uses and opportunities.  We made them do their self introduction and asked about their ambition.  Later on we moved on to today's subject Dialogue writ...

It was after the two days leave we were back to the school.  Reached the school at 9 15 am.  There was no prayer in the school.  Many studente were getting ready to for the interschool sports meet.  They were dressed up in yellow jerseys.  We signed the attendance register.   The senior assistant asked us to engage some classes and to take attendance since many teachers was on leave.  We divided us into groups and went to different classes such as 7B, 8A, 8B, 9B etc.  The children were very cooperative.  The first hour was Hindi for Vll C this me and Shilpa asked them to speak in Hindi and make a self. introduction in Hindi.  Later the principal assigned  us to engage in other classes too.  Apart from textual syllabus we gave them word games, puzzles etc.  During noon time we served the food and had ours.  Then we went to see the Library and ICT room.  The library was very well and neatly arraged.  We t...

     Day 2 of our school induction programme started with a prayer song.  We were asked to attend the sub district level seminar competition conducted as the part science fest.  During the second hour we get an opportunity to observe class 8th B.  The subject in charge was Manju Mam.  She was very cooperative to us and first we were asked to introduce ourselves in the classroom.  Besides textual classes the teacher asked the students to conduct a mock prese.Her aim was to improve the speaking, thinking and question framing skills in children.  One of the student was assigned the role of our chief minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan and teacher herself tool the role of translator and Personal Assistant of the minister.  Each students took the role of different media heads.  That was a good interactive session.  The mock press was winded up by the appreciation of the teacher for the active participation of the students.  Later on...

Today was the first day of School Induction Program which is prescribed in the BEd curriculum.  We were allotted Govt. BHSS Kanyakulangara.  We were a group of six , from different subjects.  The group includes me and Shilpa from English, Saran from Maths,Aswin from Social Science and Shan and Parvati from Physical Science.  We reached the school at sharp 9.00 Am.  At first we signed the attendance register. The headmistress T.S. Shiju mam gave a breif description about the school, teachers and students.  We started our day with the school assembly.  The morning assembly was completely conducted in Hindi as the day is celebrated as Hindi Divas.  Since the English teacher of standard 9 was on leave we were asked to engage the class.  We conducted some word games on the first half of the hour and then revised the latest chapters.  We also participate in the Midday Meal programme.  We served the food to students.  Later we walked ...

Today's assembly was conducted by Maths Department.      The assembly started at sharp 9 30.  Prayer song was sung by Midhun followed by pledge which was  conveyed by Nithya. The main highlight of the day was the news reading by Midhun.  It was very audible and very well presented by him.  Thought for the day was presented by Aawathy.  The new word of the day was "Ameliorate", which was presented by Saran.  Sumayya came forward with a speech on the topic 'Ozone' since September 16 is celebrated as Ozone day.  Along with that she also conducted a quiz competition. Finally Veena mam from English Department gave an overall review about the assembly.  The whole assembly was anchored by Anju.  Last but not the least, the assembly was concluded by the National Anthem.
