Day 1

19 August 2024

Monday

I reached the school by 9 10 am.  The day started with the prayer song hy school choir.  It was a fresh new day of the week and mine was first period in 8C.  I was ready with my lesson templates and I completed the 14th lesson template.  The entry activity given was to guess what will be the little round red house.  Students gave varied answers. The group activity given was to write the character sketch of Mr. Fetzer.  The students were also given to write a homework to write a short note about the persons and their character the boy met while in search of the Little Round Red House.  We had lunch duty at noon.  We left school at 3 45 pm.

21 August 2024

Wednesday 

I reached the school by 9 10 am.  The day started with the prayer song by school choir. I completed the 15th lesson template. I was ready with my lesson templates and learning aids.  The entry activity given was to close the students eyes and imagine how the little round house would look like.  The group activity given was to write a letter written by the little boy to his friends saying about his feelings while finding little round house.  After editing and correct I gave a gist about the chapter and finally gave a homework to write a short note about one of the adventurous activity that they have experienced in their life. The school dispersed at 3 30 pm and we left the school by  3 45 pm.

Day 4

Thursday 

I reached the school by 9 15am.  I was ready with the lesson templates and learning aids. It was the 16th template.  The school started with a prayer song.  The entry activity given was to take a piece of paper and draw the Little round red house with no windows no doors and chimney on top.  The chapter was completed and Students were asked to write a group activity to write the telephone conversation between little boy and his father about his adventure. At the end of the class after editing their works and providing teachers version,  a gist of the chapter was given to the students.  Some questions were asked randomly to strengthen their understanding.  The homework given was to write a short summary of the chapter little round red house.  We left the school by 4 00pm.

Day 5

Friday 

It was the last day of our 1st spell of our teaching practice.  I reached the school by 9 10am.  The day started with a prayer song sung by the school choir.  I was alloted the last period in 8C ie. 7th period.  Afternoon session there was a quiz competition based on Indian Space Day by NSS volunteers from UIT pirappancode.  During the 7th period I went to my class and gave them a summary of what they have learned the past few chapters and strengthened there understanding.  I gave notes based on the chapters, cleared their doubts and left the school by 4 15 pm.
