Day 1

12 August 2024

Monday

  After two days weekend leave we went back to school.  I reached school by 9 10 am.  The school was preparing for the School Kalotsavam 2024.  Mine was the first period in std 8 C.  The students were very active and curious to talk to me to share how they spend their holidays.  The was ready with my lesson templates and teaching aids.I asked students to list out the importance of Travelling in one's life. The discourse given was to write the diary entry of the boy.  I also get 2 substitution period in 8C so that I was able to complete two more lesson templates.  It was during the 3rd and 5th period.  In the 3rd period , inorder to create a readiness I asked them to draw a little round red house with a star inside.  The activity given was to prepare a newspaper advertisement on newspaper regarding the search of little round house by the boy.  In the 5th period I took the eleventh template.  I asked them to list out their hobbies.  The activity given was to write a conversation between little boy and the police officer.  We were also asked to prepare some list regarding the kalotsavam that had to be conducted on 13th & 14th on the school auditorium.

Day 2

13 August 2024

Tuesday

 I reached the school by 8 45 am since it was Kalotsavam.  The school and students were all set for the celebration of displaying skills and talents of the younger minds.  The students were active and their faces were filled with curiosity and enthusiasm.  At first was the inaugural ceremony at the school auditorium.  There were many distinguished guests.  The chief guest was  Miss Avani, a very talented young and charming girl who was the runnerup in Saregamapa held in Zee Kerala.  She rocked the stage and audiences by her blessed voice.  The inaugural speech was delivered by the head of the institution Mr. Shaji and the PTA president. The competitions on various events begam at 10:30 am . There were Malayalam recitation, English recitation,Urdu recitation, vanchi paat , duff mutt , guitar competition,folk song competition and, solo song and group song competitions on all levels . The winners were announced at the end of the program. I left the school at 5:00 pm. We were given the stage duty which was a good experience for us.

Day 3

Wednesday 

14 August 2024

Today was the second day of the arts festival in Govt. V&HSS Pirappancod. I reached the school at 9:00 am . The events began at 9:15 am .there were classical dance , group dance , mime, group song competitions, thiruvathira and oppana competitions. We had our lunch break at 12:50 . After the break we were assigned with the task of making a list of winners of various events, 2023-24 SSLC winners, plus two students, NCC cadets and winners of various sports events . We arranged the trophies according to the list and completed our task . In the evening session there  was  a meeting with the PTA president, principal incharge , headmaster and various members of the school association. After a long speech the prize distribution was done. Students were given trophies for their achievements. The program came to an end at 4:30 pm .I left school at 4:45 pm .

Day 4

15 August 2024

Thursday

I reached the school by 8 20 am. It was a slight rainy day.  The NCC students were all set with their parades.  The HM of the school hoisted the National Flag and delivered a speech on the importance of Independence Day.  Students were given sweets as a token of happiness.  We dispersed at 10 am.

Day 5

16 August 2024

Friday

I reached school by 9 15 am.  I was ready with my lesson templates and learning aids.  After the morning prayer by the school choir. It was the Election Day at school. The students elected their representatives.  I got substitution in 8C during the 4rd period.  I completed my 12 th lesson template.  I interacted informally with the students and asked students to guess what will be the little round red house.  Students gave varied answers.   The activity given was to write the character sketch of little boy in the story. My actual period was 7th hour in 8C .  Since it's Friday the class duration was from 3 30 .  The students were exhausted but cooperative to study the story.  I took the next template.  I asked the students to close their eyes and imagine the red round house.  The activity given was to write the diary entry of the boy.  I gave them a homework to write a paragraph how Mr Fetzer welcomed the little boy.  After the discipline duty we went back to home at 4 20 pm.
