Day 1
5 August 2025
Monday 

Today was the third day of my teaching practice. I reached the school at 9:20 a.m.. I was allotted the first period in 8th c where I completed one lesson Template..  It was the second chapter of second Unit. Inorder to create a mental readiness among students, I showed the pictures of different means of transport to the students. After taking the class I divided the class into groups and ask them to prepare an advertisement on a Rail tour package.  We had lunch at 12:30 . We completed our works during the free period we got. We returned home at 3:30 p.m. 

Day 2
6 August 2024
Tuesday 

I  reached the school at 9:20 a.m. today we had assembly since it was Hiroshima and Nagasaki day. The entire Assembly was based on peace and children presented various programs relating to the day. The head of the institution gave speech on the importance of peace and the need to put an end to the war. The school premises were decorated with sadako cranes. The Assembly was concluded with the national anthem and students were dispersed. I was allotted class in 8th C during the 1st period . I took the class according to the pre-planned  lesson templates.  I showed the pictures of different scenaries that can be seen from inside a train.  Students were very excited to see them and responded very actively.  The group activity given was to write an appreciation of the poem  "From a Railway Carriage".  I provided them with activity cards.  The students were very attentive and curious to write the appreciation on such colourful activity cards. I was successful in completing the second lesson template. The school was dispersed at 3:30 p.m. and we returned home

Day 3
7 August 2024
Wednesday 

I reached the school at 9:10 a.m. I was in my uniform since it was a Wednesday. I brought my teaching aids and was well prepared to take the class. I had 1st period in std 8 C . It was a new chapter and the entry activity given for the day was to show some pictures related to travel.  I had interacted with the students to know about their travel experiences.  I asked them to write the "Importance of Travel in One's Life" as group activity. We went to serve the food as it was our turn to do the duty. I was given a substitution period in 8 C during the fourth period. I took the fourth lesson template.  I asked the students if they love to travel and share one of their experiences with their friends.  I ask them to write the appreciation of the poem that we were discussing.  I showed them my version of appreciation after reading and editing the works done by the students.  I was able to take the class according to the pre-planned objectives. We also did the discipline duty after school hours and return to our homes at 3:40 p.m.

Day 4
8 August 2024
Thursday 
Today I reached the school at 9:20 a.m. and after the signing the register I went back to our allotted room and started doing my works. I had class during the  third hour in class 8 C. I  was successful in completing the classroom procedures and taking the class according to the lesson templates.  I took the fifth lesson template.  I asked the students what they do in their free time and asked their experiences of bored situations in their life.  I brought all the learning aids and told them that our new chapter is an interesting story and wont be boring to them.  I showed them the picture of a boy and asked some questions regarding the facial expression of the boy.  The children replied that the boy is bored and asked them if they had experienced such situations .The discourse given was to write a diary entry of the little boy in the story.  I showed them my version of diary entry after reading and editing the works done by the students.  After the class we had our lunch break till 1:30 p.m. I also got a substitution period in 8C so that I was able to complete the necxt lesson template also. I was prepared with my templates and learning aids.  It was the continuation of the story we were dealing with.  I showed them the pictures of Alice in Wonderland and ask them to share there observation regarding the picture.  Then I continued the story.  The activity given was to write the profile of the author.  A homework was also given to write a paragraph on any boring situation in their life.  The class ended at 3:30 p.m. and we went home after signing the register.

Day 5
9 August 2024
Friday
Today I reached the school by 9 20 am. After signing the register I was allotted std 8C  for substitution and I went and had an interaction session with them.I continued with the chapter . The class was as per the seventh lesson template.  Inorder to create a mental readiness I ask them to draw a little round red house in a piece of paper.  Then continued with the chapter.  The activity given was to construct a word pyramid.  Children responded well.  Afternoon, It was 7th period for me in class 8C.  Since it is friday the class was from 3.30pm to 4.00pm. Children were little bit exhausted since time has exceeded from their normal working days but they cooperated very actively and interested to sit in my class. I took the 8th lesson template.  I brought all the learning aids . I asked them to describe their own houses. After the class I asked them to write the conversation between the little boy and the mail carrier  of the story "The Little Round Red House". Students actively participated and by giving a conclusion about the days topic the class was wind uped.  After the discipline duty we left the school by 4 15pm.
